Commodity Services Inc. was formed in 1980 in effort to better coordinate large volumes of truck-delivered potash to the United States, and at the same time, give prompt deliveries to the feed users in Canada.
With success in the potash market and a need for truck coordination in other markets, we are now authorized and bonded by the Interstate Commerce Commission in Washington, D.C. to do business throughout the United States and four provinces in Canada.
Currently, we have teams located in Minnesota, Florida and Oklahoma, we are able to cover most of the U.S. and Canadian markets.
Commodity Services, Inc. strives to meet the needs and requirements of each individual customer. Our professional dispatchers are committed to locating the proper equipment, correct routing and arrangement of all pickups and deliveries.

Terry Maakestad
Founder of Commodity Services in 1980. Responsible for the movement of potash from Canada to the Midwest. Involved in contract arrangements made with shippers in all parts of the United States and Canada.
Roger Rieck
Joined Commodity Service in 1988. Responsible for the movement of feed ingredients to Canada, as well as bulk movements of feed and fertilizer throughout the United States. Fifteen years truck driving experience aids in dispatching abilities and handling problems with drivers as they arise.
Jon Maakestad
Joined Commodity Service in 1994. Responsible for dispatching trucks in the Midwest and Canada to various points in the United States. Jon also controls large salt and frac sand contracts.
Ron Roloff
Joined Commodity Services in 1998. Forty years truck dispatching experience. Responsible for domestic movement of bulk and bag commodities. Dispatching experience helps our company deal with shippers and truckers.
Dominic Maakestad
Joined Commodity Services in 2003. Responsible for the movement of sand to the oil well sights. Assists with the movement of potash from Canada to the U.S.

Todd Pferrman
Joined Commodity Services in 2006. Responsible for movement of refrigerated freight (produce), van, and flatbed freight throughout the United States, as well as Canada and Mexico. Also assists in dispatching hopper and dump loads.
